Deed reproduction and print

Private commission

The Challenge

A client requested a 200 year old deed to be reproduced and printed at the same size. The original had been stored folded for many years and therefore had deep fold marks as well as foxing. The goal was to produce a print on archival paper matched to the original and would also stand as a piece of art when mounted and framed.

Printed on Canson Arches Aquarelle

We photographed the artwork in multiple sections under various lighting set-ups in our studio to get the best results by reducing the hard shadows around the folds. Once the file was composited, we retouched and colour correct the details. There were sections missing from the corners of the original which needed to be recreated in photoshop.
